Analogue photography on film
A roll of film has 36 frames, and every one counts. That slowness changes a shoot – you become calmer, more precise, more honest. You can see it in the pictures.

What you get
- 0135 mm and medium format, black and white and colour – depending on the look you want
- 02Developed in my own darkroom, high-resolution scans of the negatives
- 03Real film grain and tonality that no filter reproduces
- 04Fine-art prints on baryta paper on request
- 05Can be combined with a digital shoot on the same day
How it works
- 1ConversationWhich look should it be – soft black and white, strong grain, colour film with character? Then I choose film and camera.
- 2ShootDeliberately slow: a few considered frames instead of rapid fire. Usually 60 to 90 minutes, partner studio or daylight.
- 3DarkroomI develop and scan myself. That takes a few days longer than digital – and is part of the result.
- 4PrintsYou receive the scans as files and, on request, hand-made prints or fine-art prints.
Who it is for
- —People who want a portrait that lasts – not for LinkedIn, but for the wall
- —Artists with a visual language that suits film
- —Couples and families looking for something lasting
- —Editors and labels for editorials with an analogue feel
Prices depend on scope, team (make-up, hair styling) and usage rights. You receive a written quote in advance – with no hidden items.
Frequently asked questions
- Why film, when digital is faster?
- Because the way of working is different: fewer frames, more concentration, no checking on a display. That leads to portraits that look less posed. And the grain of real film cannot be replaced.
- How many images do I get?
- Depending on scope one to three rolls, i.e. 36 to 108 frames, of which a curated selection as scans – typically 15 to 30 finished images.
- Can I have the negatives?
- Yes, on request I hand over the negatives after scanning.
- How long until delivery?
- Developing, scanning and editing take about two weeks. Prints an additional one to two weeks depending on format.
- Does film work in the studio with flash?
- Yes. Medium format with studio flash is a classic combination for beauty and portrait – see the series Amaya and Bianca.
